Dale Williams was born to Roby and June Williams in Carter County Tennessee, February 2, 1959. He has four siblings. His oldest brother Hubert is deceased. Another brother Kent and sisters Judy Veeneman and Etta Perry all reside in Carter County.
Dale began his singing career in the third grade as a soloist, performing Silent Night, at the Midway elementary school Christmas program. As a teenager, he was invited to sing in churches and at revivals, while his mother accompanied him on the piano. Dale sang with friends, as a young adult, in many local churches.
The first recording Dale experienced was in the early eighties. Soon after, his singing took a back seat to the birth of his beautiful daughters Kristin and Katie, and resumed with his marriage to Cathy. Dale occasionally sang country music with friends and comforted families with his songs during funerals. Since the birth of his son Michael, Dale has been singing more often. He was encouraged by friends and family to record a CD of gospel songs.
His first CD "Songs from the Heart" was recorded in 2007 and was well received by the public. It was two years ago, in 2008, Dale felt the Lord gave him a song and opportunity to share his testimony with others. He wrote the song to give thanks and praise to the Lord for his everlasting grace. The song "I Know My Name's been Written Down" was completed and recorded this year 2010. The CD contains two additional original songs written by Carter County natives Olan (Pie) Hardin and Dennis Bradley. The CD has been well received and played on multiple radio stations and internet radio. Dale is very thankful to his family and friends who supported him for the success of his song. You can find Dale during the week working with his sister at their business Rainbow Realty and Auction located in Elizabethton Tennessee, on Saturday tending his livestock and leading the choir at Popular Grove Baptist Church on Sunday.

I would like to begin with thanking all of you who encourage my singing and my family who supports me in countless ways. It always touched my heart each time you asked for my next recording; I hope it contains your favorite songs. The musicians and background vocalists did a wonderful job. I am glad to call them my friends; thanks to each one. Loren Harris not only arranged the backup vocals, his experience and expertise was prceless in times of doubt. Thanks Loren.
This recording was very special because it allowed me to introduce the song "I Know My Name's Been Written Down." I wrote this song to praise and give thanks to the Lord for his everlasting grace. Reflecting on my life, I see his hands of love, guiding and protecting me.
I heard a message several years ago preached by Pastor D.L. Lowery from Luke 10. It remains a great comfort to me and it was the influence for the title of this recording. "Rejoice not in these things, but rejoice that your name is written in heaven," praise his Holy name. Again, thanks to all.
